2. When doing abs crunches it is significant to tuck your chin into your chest and do not use your hands as leverage pulling your head and neck. Place your hands across your chest or slightly touching the sides of your head.  Do not grab the back of your head and pull yourself frontward.  This not only cheats your abs out of a proper workout, it can cause neck injury.  Allow you neck muscle do what they are intended to do: Hold up the weight of your head.
